Lisa Archontidi-Tsaldaraki is a Greek violinist and Convivium Artist. She recorded her debut solo CD, “Rhapsody” for Convivium Records (distributed by Naxos UK and US), featuring an all-20th century programme of Britten, Ravel, Szymanowski, Constantinidis and Kalomiris; her CD was released in March 2023.

Lisa debuted at the Athens Megaron in 2023 and has twice performed live as a guest of Sound Out on Resonance FM 104.4. In 2019, Lisa toured Germany as a soloist with the Bromley Youth Chamber Orchestra, culminating with a performance in Leipzig at the Bach Denkmal. Other highlights include Steinway Hall, Portsmouth Cathedral, St Michael’s Sittingbourne, Benslow ILS for their 90th anniversary, and having two articles published in the Strad magazine.

She was awarded Silver prize at the Convimus International Violin Competition in July 2022, as well as top prizes at the Primuz, Medici, and Napolinova International Competitions in 2021. Lisa also won the 1st prize and the title of Young Musician of the Year in the Rotary South-East England and Gibraltar District Competition in 2019.

Lisa founded the Arquia Duo with fellow pianist, Tiffany Qiu, in 2020. Their performance of the Debussy Violin Sonata was presented at the 2020 AEMC Conference in Italy and it was subsequently included in the book and CD publication (Vernon Press, 2021).

Lisa has performed in masterclasses by violinists such as James Ehnes, Ning Feng, Joel Smirnoff, Cihat Askin, Dong-Suk Kang, Yuzuko Horigome, So-Ock Kim, Lana Trotovsek and Maxine Kwok-Adams. She has also received further coaching from London Symphony Orchestra’s co-leader, Carmine Lauri, and the sub-principal of the Oxford Philharmonic, Emanuela Buta.

Lisa completed her Bachelor’s degree at the Royal Academy of Music, where she is currently a postgraduate in the class of Rodney Friend, MBE. Lisa performs on a G.F. Pressenda violin (1847) kindly on loan from the Royal Academy of Music.
